Tokyo new condo prices hit 24-year high

The average price of a new condominium in the Tokyo metropolitan area in November was the highest in over 24 years.

A private research firm, the Real Estate Economic Institute, says the average price of a new condo put on the market in Tokyo and 3 neighboring prefectures was 63 million yen, or about 520,000 dollars. That's up 21 percent from a year ago, and the highest since June of 1991.
