After-hour tickets bring night life to Universal Studios Japan

posted on October 31, 2015

Universal Studios Japan is offering special tickets that will allow visitors to experience the theme park's fantasy attractions during nighttime in January.

Holders of the tickets, available online since Oct. 30, will be able to extend their stay at the Osaka theme park for three hours after the normal 8 p.m. closing time.

The special nighttime ticket is part of Osaka Prefecture's campaign to discount admission fees at sightseeing facilities. The prefecture is covering 40 percent of the costs required for the project by using subsidies under the central government's emergency economic measure.

An official from theme park operator USJ Co. said the number of special tickets is limited, so lines should be shorter at each attraction between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The special nighttime ticket is for the last six weekend days in January: Jan. 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31.
