A giant float from one of Japan's largest summer festivals has made its debut at the 84th annual Hollywood Christmas Parade.

It is the first time any float from the Nebuta Festival in northern Japan has taken part in the event. The festival is known for its spectacular display of floats in the city of Aomori.

Crowds cheered on Sunday as the float, accompanied by dancers and live music, rolled through the streets of Los Angeles.
