Celebrate Sunrise Festival at a sacred mountain.

Mt. Mitake is about two hours from Tokyo by train. The Musashi Mitake Jinja Shrine holds the Sunrise Festival every spring, and it is the most important festival at this shrine. If you stay at a pilgrims' lodge, you can also participate in the magical night event. The starting ceremony of the event will be held with beautiful gagaku (traditional Japanese court music) at twilight and the faint light of lamps.

*Event dates and programs may be subject to change.
